About
About 1230, Philip de Barry founded a priory for the Augustinian Canons in Ballybeg, a village located near the town of Buttevant, County Cork. There, visitors can view remains of the church, three-story tower, and stone coffins. There is also a well-preserved columbarium with a corbelled roof and more than 300 roosts.
