The Carol Cronin Gallery
About
Carol Cronin’s seascapes are inspired by the Atlantic coast of West Kerry where she calls home. Carol Cronin graduated from the Cork College of Art and Design in 1989 with a Diploma in Fine Art. Since then, her work has been exhibited throughout Europe including The Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) in Dublin, Fairfields Hall in London, and the AK47 Gallery in Dusseldorf.
Carol was an invited artist at the ‘Arte Utile’ festival in Sicily. She received the Princes’ Trust Travel Award in 1994. Her work has been commissioned by, amongst others, the University College Cork and the National Archives of the Netherlands.
A visit to Carol Cronin's Gallery is a great opportunity to meet the artist where she works. Carol’s artistic technique involves very fine glazing layers of pigment, which create nuances of colour and structure, which lend the painting quality of immediacy. The exhibition in the gallery is open to the public every summer until September.
