Céibh Bhaile na hAbhann (Ballynahown Pier)
About
With a village name that means ‘river settlement’, this serene Gaeltacht fishing community is located about 31km west of Galway City, between Indreabhán (Inverin) and Casla (Costelloe).
Check out the distinctive brick red sails of the traditional Galway Hooker sailing boats from the man-made pier. When the sun is shining, soak up views of Galway Bay, the Aran Islands, the Burren and even the coast of County Clare.
