Crannmor Pottery

About

Hilary Jenkinson of Crannmor Pottery in County Wicklow creates her own pottery by traditional hand throwing methods. Hilary has designed three bespoke ranges called Oceanic, Cornflower and Silk. All her work is hand thrown on an electric wheel using stoneware clay. The pottery is durable, dishwasher and microwave safe.

Preferring straight lines to the more traditional bellied pots, Hilary's shapes are based on old pewter beer tankards. The simple motif of a Celtic spiral, applied with a sponge, is used to decorate her Cornflower range. Hilary began producing the Silk range in her workshop in Castlecomer, County Kilkenny. The Silk range was inspired by Hilary's travels and is simplistic in its design. The Oceanic range is the newest range and was created through Hilary's love of swimming and the sea. The two blue brush strokes are loose giving the feeling of movement and scratch flowing lines back into the colour to reveal white beneath. This range has a fresher and vibrant feel to it and would brighten up any kitchen display. The espresso cups are a popular choice in the Oceanic range.

Crannmor Pottery also create bespoke gift designs and works for galleries and commissions.
