Five Fingers Strand

About
Five Fingers Strand, Inishowen, County Donegal, is not only known for its pristine sand and surrounding rocky coastline, but also its sand dunes. Some of these dunes are over 30m high and are thought to be amongst the highest in Europe. The dunes form part of a diverse ecosystem of plants and wildlife.
Although the strand is perfect for walking, fishing and bird watching, it is not recommended for swimming due to strong currents.
There is a small car park beside the strand. At peak times, visitors can also park at the nearby church and walk down to the strand.
