Knight for Hire

Knight for Hire offers a walking tour of Kilkenny City from the point of view of a medieval knight in his armour. The tour visits lesser known locations around the city on a relatively short comfortable walk.

Starting from the hurling statue in Canal Square, in the shadow of Kilkenny Castle, your guide helps you visualise what life would have been like in medieval times. The light hearted, yet factual descriptions are less focused on specifics and more a general overview of life in medieval times. Your guide is even well practiced in the art of medieval armoured combat.
