Market Cross Shopping Centre is situated in the heart of Kilkenny City, County Kilkenny, and has grown from strength to strength since their inception in 1994. It boast some of the best known branded shops and retail outlets in Ireland.
In the past Market Cross was Kilkenny's City Centre. When Kilkenny's ancient Market Cross was erected in High Street in 1335 local traders flocked around it to market their wares. The whole area became known as Market Cross and it's said that customers could buy or sell just about anything there. Today Market Cross Shopping Centre keeps that ancient tradition alive with outstanding shopping in over 40 shops.
