Newport House Hotel Fishing Holidays

About
Newport House is a fine Georgian house and has enjoyed a colourful history, particularly since the earlier half of this century when it became a famous base for those fishing the great rivers of County Mayo.
Newport House is one of those rare establishments which owns its own river, the Newport River as well as owning the rights to fish on Lough Beltra West. Newport is renowned for its salmon and sea trout and has a reputation for spring salmon.
On both waters, the rule is fly only and open season for salmon is from 20 March to 30 September. Sea trout season runs from mid-June until 30 September.
