Skellig Michael Voyage

About

Skellig Michael Voyage in Portmagee, County Kerry main passion is the sea. Captain Nealie has extensive knowledge of the Skellig Islands, having once helped restore the beehive huts. Skellig Michael was home to an Irish Christian monastery founded on the island between the 6th and 8th century and remained occupied until it was abandoned in the late 12th century.

On the way out of the harbour, see the site of the first Transatlantic Cable terminal and Little Skelligs inhabitated by over 50,000 nesting gannets. You can also sometimes see a colony of grey seals resting here.

All tours are dependent on the weather at sea conditions and are very popular during the summer season so it is advisable to book well in advance.

Create special memories that will last a lifetime after visiting this spectacular island monastery towering over the sea.
